IFS User Login Security Permissions

Most Customers are wary of this part of the application.  Typically the IFS consultant who helps with the implementation sets this us before they leave.  Traditionally customers tend to give too much access to their users and leave it at that.

Do you really want the people in the warehouse having access to your financial data?

After a while the original super users who understood the original configuration leave and as security is a ‘do and forget’ the skills are lost.

New users join the company and the job roles change over time. Now the system ends up in a mess.

Earlier versions of IFS applications have no standard Security Reports to show who has access to what functionality.  This is a potential business risk and you really should know, especially if you are a subject to either 21 CFT pt11, Sarbanes Oxley or similar.

Irrespective of your version of IFS; we help by producing a Security Report that shows User Id and the roles granted.  Then an additional linked report that shows what permissions each role has.

From here we can work with you to determine what access is appropriate for each user/role.  Then make the changes to your system and maintain them for you at a fixed cost, producing a standard report for you that enable you to document “who has access to what” any time you need it.
