Biometric Fingerscan, RFID and other T&A Capture
TimeGate can connect in real time to a range of Biometric, RFID and multicard range of devices. In addition to this, Innovise also pioneer the way in gathering Call Line Identity (C.L.I.D) Verification technology. The fingerscan and CLID solutions are by far the most popular, but they all provide solutions to different requirements. When it comes to having T&A clocks on walls, these are generally preferred on a GPRS connection (though some can be TCP/IP if required) to the TimeGate databases. Data is passed back to the databases in real time.

How it works
Biometric solutions are particularly effective in situations where larger numbers of staff operate from a single location - typically more than 20 staff, or where the identity of staff is of paramount importance.

Each staff member records fingerprint IDs for identification. These are held as a encrypted files within the device. The fingerscan units are wall mounted and powered using a standard wall socket. Attendance data collected on the fingerprint unit is sent to the TimeGate and Servicetrac software platforms using the latest in mobile 'push' technology.Enrolling staff on the fingerprint unit is quick and simple. The unit scans the employee�s fingerprint and converts the image into a number which is stored on the unit. This is referred to as the user�s template. To clock in or out the employee enters their unique PIN and simply places their finger on the unit.
The finger is scanned and compared with algorithm templates already stored on units to irrefutably verify the correct operative has clocked in or out.
Real time T&A
T&A systems of old were slow, cumbersome and generally a lot of hassle. As they improved to be real time they often required a business to invest in lots of wires, computers and hardware generally. This is because they all need to be connected so if someone clocks in, the "system" would know and handle the information accordingly.
Innovise provide all of this, but can do it all wirelessly (except for a power socket!). Using your existing PCs and Internet Access, our clocks and software work together to produce real time solutions without the need to wire them togther. As such, T&A boxes have become 'plug & play' giving great flexibility and ease of deployment to our clients.
Why is this important?
- Service providers may only need to provide a T&A solution for a few weeks or months. Being able to take a T&A device away easily and cheaply is therefore far better for them.
- They may lose a contract or need to close a building and won't want the hassle of removing such equipment which traditionally couldn't then be re-used.
- Service providers aren't always allowed to use the phone or IT infrastructure of their clients. This is particularly true in cleaning, security and FM more generally. However, those same clients want you to operate as if you were part of the furniture and to manage time and attendance properly. Easily installed, enabled and operated technology which is simply plugged in to a wall or mobile power supply meets these requirements cost effectively and without complication.

Innovise have a powerful tool which interfaces to the UK Telephony infrastructure and validates locations from the Callers telephone line Identity. This is the true number from which someone is calling. People often ask us, what if I block my number? Under regulation from OFCOM, Innovise are able to see 75% of blocked CLIDs too.
This means that even if you call from your phone your location is clear to all who manage the Time and Attendance data. No more calling in from home or on your way in when you are running late.
