Guard Tour
Innovise's Guard Tour software can combine PDAs, mobile phones and robust PES sensor technology. The devices are used to record tours or patrols and capture proof of attendance. Using either PDAs or mobile phones, the guard patrol data can be returned in real time. The robust PES technology is suited to the most hostile guard tour environments and collects data off-line prior to upload to the central staff patroling database.
Our Guard Tour solutions provide a cost effective and 100% accurate method for tracking duties performed by your staff. A series of tags are used as markers around a site and patroling security officers use either a PDA, mobile phone or PES sensor to record T&A during a tour. Hence, as a security guard reaches a particular location, the PDA/PES is used to record the date and time at which the tag was activated. Our unique guard tour solution works with a number of location tag types including i-button, RFID and barcodes.
Using PDAs, mobile phones or our i-button Incident Pads, your staff can also record incidents that take place while carryout the tour of duty. For instance, an officer conducting a Guard Patrol may come across an open window. This incident and any subsequent action can be reported using the PDA incident form or i-button incident pad. Such data is then available for reporting and guard patrol analysis.
Inovise's Guard Tour solution has three main device options to enable choice across a range of contracts or staff members:
- PDA - the PDA solution is ideal for more complex patrols and contracts in which detailed incident reporting and analysis is required. The PDA can also provide real time data. PDA's can be provided in rugged casings to protect against misuse. However, they can be vulnerable to damage and require some level of staff training and familiarisation.
- Mobile Phone - the mobile phone is ideal for patrols in which real time data recording is needed but the full feature set of PDAs is not needed or desirable.
- PES - the PES sensor is a robust unit which is ideal for use wherever there is a high risk of damage or misuse. The sensor is unique in its Anti-Vandal technology in addition to its lengthy battery life and high capacity.
