What are your plans for 2019, 2020 and indeed 2010? Did you make any New Year’s resolutions and how are they going? Whether or not you’re a fan of New Year’s resolutions, the start of a new year is invariably a time for some reflection. It’s also a great time to check on your short and mid term planning. You need to make sure you are spending your time, be that now or the next few years wisely.
And ironically, if you don’t have time for reflection, that may be a fact worth reflecting on too. Despite his considerable wealth, Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc., once said, “It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.”
It’s a resource that we all have, and it’s not renewable – time lost is gone forever. That’s why making the best use of the time you have needs to be a top priority.
As author and educator Stephen Covey said in his 1994 book First Things First, “the key is in not spending time, but in investing it.”
